From September 20, 2007 to October 10, 2007 in Belarusian literature reading room (room 205) is open a book exhibition "The Height of Criteria" dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Vladimir Mihniuk, Belarusian historian, scientist, and pedagogue.

On September 19, 2007, in National Library of Belarus took place a meeting of Alexander Kosiniets, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus with heads of religious associations of the Republic of Belarus.

On September 19, 2007, in the Round Hall of National Library of Belarus took place the opening of the 2nd International Scientific and Practical Seminar on the Implementation of the State Program of Aligned Fundamental Researches "Building and Architecture".

National Library of Belarus, on the occasion of its 85th anniversary, received plenty of congratulations, telegrams, and postcards from different state, public, and cultural institutions, diplomatic representatives, and international organizations.

On September 15, 2007, in the Children Room of National Library of Belarus took place an event for children "We celebrate the National Library's Birthday" .

On September 14, 2007, in National Library of Belarus took place celebrations timed to the 85th anniversary of the Library. Representatives of different ministries and State offices, international organizations, guests from foreign countries, among them - Ilya Veljanov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Belarus, and Igor Lihovoy, the Ambassador of Ukraine in the Republic of Belarus participated in the event.

From September 10, 2007, to October 1, 2007, takes place an exhibition "National Library of Belarus in the World Information Space" dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the NLB.

On September 14, 2007, in National Library of Belarus, in the framework of celebration of the 85th anniversary of the main library of Belarus, took place the International Round Table "New Technologies in the Library Users Service".

On September 10, 2007, in the framework of China Government international project "Window to China" took place the ceremony of handing of a book collection to National Library of Belarus.
