On December 20, 2005 in the Museum of Modern Art was opened an exhibition "Art - Step On Christmas", organized by the National Library of Belarus and the International Guild of Painters.

    In the exhibition took part about 50 painters. Many of them are the most eminent and active artists who create the basis of Belarusian artistic school. To the visitors' attention is presented a large specter of different currents and styles of art, painters' individual manners and techniques - in short, all latest tendencies of modern Belarusian painting. From realistic landscapes by Lubnevskii Ales', Barhatkov Igor, Shkaruba Valerii, Isayonok Maria and Nicolai to surrealistic works by Malishevskii Sergei and Skripnichenko George; from complete symbolic canvas by Drozdov Gennadii and Yastreb Fedor to associative works by Lucevich Zoya, Semiletov Ivan, Rachkovskaya Natalia - all these a witty visitor can see and appreciate in the Museum of Modern Art (Nezalezhnasci avenue, 47).

    Besides that, guests of the vernisage could take part in a Christmas action, organized by young coworkers of the National Library of Belarus and students of Belarusian State University of Art and Culture, and also by the eminent band of ethnic music "Lic'viny".

    The exhibition is open till January 7, 2006.
