At the exhibition are exposed works from the Library's collection of United Nations photo - documents, which illustrate stages of formation and activity of the international organization: from the Conference in 1945 in St.-Francisco till the World Summit in 2005 in New York. The photos also reflect work of the United Nations Organization and its specialized agencies in the field of peacemaking, education, protection of the environment, rendering of humanitarian aid etc.

    In the ceremony of opening took part the following high-ranking figures: representative of UNO in Belarus Dzihan Sultangolu, representatives of the Ministry of foreign affairs of the Republic of Belarus, vice-director of the National Library of Belarus Liudmila Kiriuhina.

    The exhibition is open till October 27.
